Court sets new 2026 date for Child Assault Case
Platinum Bushvelder newspaper | Thabazimbi – The long-running child assault case involving Ria Oberholzer, Petrus Oelofse and Jesica Hull has been postponed yet again, extending the matter into 2026.
The case, which first went to trial in March 2024, has faced multiple delays over the past two years. It was most recently scheduled for early December 2025, then provisionally moved to mid-January 2026. New information now confirms that the matter has been postponed to 29 January 2026, when the court is expected to deal with both the appointment of an intermediary and the continuation of the trial.
All three accused remain out on bail. They face serious charges including sexual assault, child neglect, and assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
