Kayla’s vocals gain recognition in the USA

Thabazimbi – Local Kayla de Bruyn (18) participated in September 2022 in the Talent Africa competition where she reached the top ten and was advanced to take part in the International Performing Arts Championships in New York City, United States of America (USA). The international championship took place from 9 to 18 July 2023.

“Brave is to just do it!” says Maya 

The definition of ‘brave’ adjective : ready to face and endure danger or pain; showing courage. Thabazimbi – October 2017 was the start of a nerve-racking journey for the Broekhuizen-family of Thabazimbi. Maya, their 11-year-old daughter showed signs of a common cold. A week later Maya’s legs became weak, she fell, couldn’t stand, and had difficulty breathing as a vicious viral infection started slowly draining life from this once healthy body.

Thabazimbi – Dit is met groot hartseer dat Platinum Bushvelder die verlies van ‘n geliefde kollega aankondig. Petrus (Manie) Jansen, gebore 13 Maart 1957, is oorlede op Woensdag 5 Julie 2023. Petrus, ook bekend as Oom Manie, was ‘n nutsman van noot, en het amper altyd ‘n oplossing vir elke probleem gehad. Sy vriendelike natuur en hulpvaardigheid sal beslis ‘n leemte los. Boodskap van Petrus se dogter, Cornel Burger: “Vandag is my hart kleiner, want ‘n groot deel is weg saam met Pappa. Ek weet nie hoe om aan te gaan met die wete dat Pappa nie meer hier is nie. Ek wil weer vir Pappa koffie maak en saam met Pappa op die trappie sit en gesels. Daar was nie ‘n beter mens met ‘n mooier hart nie.”  Petrus se roudiens vind plaas op Vrydag 14 Julie 2023 om 11:00 vanuit die Oase Plek van Lewe (AGS), 15 Frikkie Meyer Straat, Thabazimbi.
