Arson - more than 200 animals died

Brits – More than 200 animals died in a scorching veld fire on Monday 11 March, when the enclosure at Mulati Wilddienste outside Brits was set alight.

The livestock were to be sold on auction on 16 March.

According to police spokesperson lieutenant colonel Amanda Funani, it seems as if the fire was started deliberately and a case of arson is being investigated.
