Save the farmer

South Africa – South African farmers are facing adversity. The severe drought experienced over the past few years has brought them to their knees as the harsh weather conditions threaten crops and livestock.

Grazing fields lay barren and livestock are starving. 

It has become so easy and convenient to drive over to the grocery store, grab a few veggies and tjoppies... but have you ever stopped to think about where the bulk of fresh produce, vegetables, meat and other non-processed items come from?

Farmers. 
... Farmers who are pouring their blood, sweat and tears into the land, to grow these crops and raise the livestock. 

... Farmers who are facing the toughest drought in many years. 
... Farmers who are so indebted that they cannot secure loans to keep their farms running. The Northern and Eastern Cape are especially affected by the drought. 
Declining agricultural production could lead to food shortages and jobs losses. 

Farmers are an integral part of the SA food security, and this is a problem that affects all of us. It is definitely not something that can be solved overnight. 

Platinum Publishers supports Boere Droogtehulp SA and we need your help. 
We would like to help lift the burden off the farmers effected by the severe draught. Each donation will make a difference.

With this project we will donate food and toiletries to farmers and assist with basic needs. Please drop off any goods that you want to donate to Boere Droogtehulp SA at Plainum Bushvelder’s offices. 
Please, do not donate cash to Platinum Publishers, only items. 

We will hand the goods over to Boere Droogtehulp SA at the end of October. As an incentive, the logos of companies that donate towards this worthy cause will feature in in the Platinum Bushvelder issue after the handover. Terms and conditions apply.
