4 criminals caught after 4-hour search 

Thabazimbi – A team effort between police and various community protection groups secured the successful arrest of four criminals on Thursday 21 November.

According to police spokesperson constable Titus Khumalo, the suspects cloned bank cards at a local automated teller machine (ATM) when the bank’s security guard spotted them and alerted the police. Once the suspects realised that they were detected, they fled the scene and a car chase ensued.
The Crocodile Community Protection Group (CCPG) was notified that they were traveling in the direction of Brits and roadblocks were set up. The suspects were spotted close to Beestekraal and a high-speed chase ensued. The suspects abandoned their vehicle and fled.

After a four-hour search, all four suspects were rounded up.
