Have your say / Sê jou sê The community says no to potholes

Potholes are a growing concern for the residents of Thabazimbi. Platinum Bushvelder took to the streets to find out what the community has to say about this ongoing problem.

The potholes in Thabazimbi is out of hand. My car has been damaged by the potholes and I feel that the people that oversee the fixing of potholes must have the necessary skills and equipment to do so.

I always only see Lucas Seele who is working for the Thabazimbi Local Municipality fixing the potholes. He needs help. I am grateful for his dedication towards fixing the potholes and I want to thank him for always trying to fix the roads. I had to spend a lot of money for the repairs to my vehicle because of the potholes.

I have to drive home late at night. It is dangerous driving on the roads especially when it’s raining and you can’t see the potholes.

My car is still new, but I had to take it in for repairs already because of the state of the roads.

 The people who are responsible for the potholes should sit together and work on a strategic plan to fix the potholes properly and on a regular basis.
