Dagga bust: two in court

Thabazimbi – Two men appeared in the Phalala Magistrates’ Court on charges of possession and dealing in dagga after being arrested by police in Villa Norra outside Lephalale on Friday 14 February. 

The suspects were in possession of 3.5kg dagga when they were caught by police officers patrolling the R518 road near Phahladira Mall. 

The officers became suspicious when they saw a vehicle dropping off the two suspects, carrying large bags.

They stopped and searched the suspects they discovered that the bags were filled with dagga. 
Limpopo Police has been intensifying their clampdown on suspects involved in the trade of illicit drugs such as dagga and nyaope. 

In 2019, police made significant breakthroughs during the various operations they implemented with the assistance of community members.
