Going DIY in Northam

Northam – This group of dedicated community members took to the streets of Northam to repair potholes that have not only been a constant problem for motorists, but also a sore eye for the locals.

“We are the ones that use these roads and we want to be proud of our town. Numerous vehicles have already been damaged by the potholes. We got tired of waiting for it to be repaired so we decided to do it ourselves,” Northam community member George Serole said.

The team offers their time and services to the community – free of charge – but rely on donations to buy the materials needed for the repairs. Next time you drive past them, stop by and say hello. Even R20 can go a long way in repairing the roads and making Northam a better place to live in.
