MEC visits Thabazimbi ECD centres  

Thabazimbi – Limpopo MEC for social development Nkakareng Rakgoale recently visited three early childhood development (ECD) centres in Thabazimbi and assessed their readiness to reopen their doors to the little ones.

The MEC began her programme by meeting councillors from Thabazimbi Local Municipality (TLM) and the Waterberg District Municipality. She was well-received by TLM mayor councillor John Michael Fischer, municipality officials as well as Godisang Community Development Trust representatives Motsei Qesengile, Gopolang Booysen and Taonezvi Mutsago who share her concern for the centres.

The MEC proceeded to inspect Mmabana, Naomi Baba and Regorogile community crèches to make sure the facilities were all ready to implement measures aimed at curbing the spread of COVID-19.

The MEC also received a donation of personal protective equipment (PPE) from the Godisang Community Development Trust before she visited a temporary shelter for the homeless at Thaba Park Stadium.
