Brutal farm attack – nothing stolen

Brits – A couple living on a farm near Brits was brutally attacked on Saturday 31 October.

According to police spokesperson lieutenant colonel Amanda Funani, the 65-year-old man and his wife were in their garden preparing for a braai when an unknown man jumped over the wall and attacked him.

The man was stabbed several times before the attacker fled the scene. The attacker did not make any demands, and nothing was stolen. The victim is currently recuperating in hospital. Police are investigating a case of assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm and no arrests have been made.
