Manhunt for parole-skipping duo 

Thabazimbi – Thabazimbi Correctional Services and the South African Police Services (SAPS) are requesting the community to assist them to track down and re-arrest two inmates who skipped parole.

Raphael Rimana, one of the escapees, had been sentenced to 12 months in prison after he was convicted for possession of ivory. Eric Mkhonza was sentenced to three years in jail for rape and robbery. Rimana and Mkhonza were both granted parole in 2001 and 2012 respectively but failed to adhere to the terms and regulations of their parole. Subsequently, they will face additional charges when they are re-arrested.
