Brutal attack on smallholding

Thabazimbi – On Wednesday, 9 August, Thomas Anderson was brutally attacked and robbed in a lodge located on a smallholding on the Rooiberg road near Thabazimbi and Klipgat. The suspects were arrested on the R511 the same day.

“Two suspects, a man and a woman have been arrested and charged with house robbery. They appeared in the Magistrates’ Court on 11 August,” captain Abel Thapela of the Thabazimbi Police, said.

The attack took place at 02h00. Anderson was viciously assaulted with both a panga and an irrigation pipe. He was immediately rushed to the hospital and is currently in a serious condition. The suspects may also be facing a charge of murder should Anderson succumb to his wounds. An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen.
