Thaba’s mayor cares for the community

Thabazimbi – Throughout the months of July and August cllr Midah Moselane, mayor of the Thabazimbi Local Municipality, distributed sanitary towels and blankets to those in need.

“These inactivates were done in commemorating our late president, Mr Nelson Mandela. We also did this in celebrating Women’s Day. We are not going to stop here!” mayor Moselane said.

The blankets were sponsored by Kumba Mine, PPC Cement, Swartklip Union Section and Jyonty, and distributed to the Tambotie Old Age Home, Huis Immergroen, community members in the Botha informal settlement, Meriting informal settlement, Regorogile Ext 5, Raphuthi, Rooiberg and Notham.

The sanitary towels were sponsored by Northam Platinum Mine and Sanlam Sky. They were distributed to Krause Primary School, Chromite Primary School, Thekganang Tec School, Mabogopedi High and Ysterberg Primary.
