Housebreaking on the increase

Thabazimbi – With so many community members on holiday over the festive period, it was easy pickings for criminals who looted homes. 

According to police spokesperson constable Titus Khumalo, from 1 December 2021 to 12 January 2022… 24 home burglaries were reported in Thabazimbi. 

“If you intend on going away for a while and you trust your neighbours, let them know you will be gone so that they can be on the lookout for suspicious activity. I also urge the community to get involved with our local CPF so that the streets can be patrolled regularly to help keep criminal elements at bay,” Khumalo said.
