A row of bricks in the road means… 

Pienaarsrivier – About 75km from Thabazimbi out on the Brits Road (R511), close to Pienaarsrivier, Henk Havenga’s son came across a row of bricks on the road. 

It was early in the morning, just after 5am on Wednesday 29 June when Henk (founder of Thabazimbi Crisis Control Centre) was alerted by his son. 

He got onto the side of the road to avoid the bricks, but about a kilometre further, another row of bricks was neatly packed across the Brits Road. 

“Try to avoid traveling at night, and if that’s not possible, make sure your lights are in a good condition,” Havenga warned. “The bricks are a ruse to get you to stop… and what then?”
