‘No good deed goes unpunished’

Thabazimbi – On Wednesday 11 January 2023, a concerned resident took to emergency groups to report that a fight broke out near Shoprite.

The Thabazimbi Community Policing Forum (CPF) and RRM Security immediately responded to the scene and held the perpetrators until the police came to take them into custody. 

In an interview with Platinum Bushvelder, David Molaku explained that he saw two men fighting and stepped in to stop the fight.

“While I tried to stop the fight, one of the men hit the other with a stone, and as I tried to intervene and make peace, I unfortunately also got involved in the scuffle and was injured.”

David sustained a head injury after which an ambulance was called to the scene. At the time of going to print a case of assault had not yet been opened.
