BAIL GRANTED FOR ALLEGED CHILD ABUSERS

Thabazimbi – The three suspects who were accused of sexual assault, child neglect, and assault with the intent to inflict grievous bodily harm were granted bail by the Thabazimbi Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 8 February 2023. They were arrested on 26 January 2023 after it came to light that a child was sexually assaulted and that two children were brutally assaulted with a cricket bat.

The two women who are facing charges of sexual assault and child neglect were released on R,1000 bail. The man was granted bail of R2,000 but will remain in custody as an additional charge of sexual assault has been filed against him. He will appear before the Thabazimbi Magistrates’ Court on 14 February 2023 regarding the additional allegation.
