FARM MURDER BREAKTHROUGH 

Tomburke/ Lephalale – The South African Police Service (SAPS) in Tomburke area has made a breakthrough in the murder of 57-year old farm manager, Jasper von Klause, with the arrest of two Mozambicans recently.

The farm manager was shot a week ago on Wednesday, 21 March, on Dale farm in Lephalale.
A suspect was found in possession of the vehicle that was used during the attack. Another suspect, a worker on the farm, allegedly provided information and intimate knowledge about the attack to the police. Four other suspects are wanted in connection with the horror attack.  The investigation continues.

Von Klause was shot while resting with his 55-year old partner at the Dale farm outside Lephalale. He was fatally wounded, and his companion injured during the attack.

Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo said another suspect, also armed with a firearm, proceeded to the farm owner’s house within the vicinity and when the dogs started barking, his 34-year old son came out to investigate. He was also shot in the thigh. He managed to get back into the house. On hearing the gunshots, the farm owner came out and shot in the direction of the suspects who then fled the scene.
