Men and women in blue rewarded

Swartklip – Police officers from various stations under the Bela-Bela cluster were handed recognition awards and trophies for hard work and dedication at a ceremony held at the Recreation Centre of Siyanda Mine on 13 June.

Police stations honoured included Bela-Bela, Dwaalboom, Thabazimbi, Northam, Rooiberg, Pienaarsrivier and Rust De Winter.

“The purpose of the day is to thank all police members for the hard work they put in and to honour them for work well done,” said Northam station commander, lieutenant colonel Moseki said.

Brigadier Mafelatshuma received a trophy as best cluster commander. “I feel like a mother. This is a blessed and historic occasion. Motivation comes from within. Thank you to all who volunteered to make this possible,” said Brigadier Mafelatshuma.
