Experience and requirements 

• Five to ten years relevant experience, preferably in the Mining and Plant Environment
• Valid South African Driver’s license: Code8/EB
• In a position to obtain Medical Fitness Certificate

Qualification
National Diploma: Mechanical Engineering
Accredited Project Management course
Management Course (FLMP, etc)
Knowledge of Mine Health and Safety Act would be an added advantage

Job key performance areas

• Ensure that preparations are done before a project commences
• To ensure the monitoring of the project while the contractor is performing the required work
• The provision of advice and guidance to interested parties related to area of expertise in terms of processes, standards, best practises, research, etc.
• To ensure the adherence to all safety and health standards and promote good housekeeping on an ongoing basis.
