Girl raped by mom’s boyfriend
Thabazimbi – Amos Malete (22) was sentenced to life imprisonment before the Thabazimbi Magistrates’ Court on 2 June on charges of raping a minor.

Two motorbike accidents in one night
Thabazimbi – Saturday evening 29 May at around 18:00, a man and woman were involved in a motorbike accident. They were on their way back to town, traveling on the Pondok road when the accident occurred.

Accident on R510
Thabazimbi – A 35-year-old woman was critically injured in a car accident on the R510 on Sunday 23 May. Eagle Trauma Rescue’s basic life support Mothusi Mabaakanye and advanced life support Terence Maraoza transported her to Thabazimbi Provincial Hospital. She was later airlifted to Sunshine Hospital in Benoni for critical care and support. In cases of emergency, contact Trauma Rescue Ambulance services on 086 178 9911.
