Sun City – In addition to the weekdays already open for day visitors, from 11 April, Sun City Resort will now be open on Sundays as well. Capacity is restricted due to COVID-19 regulations; therefore, a limited number of tickets are available via online purchase only. No tickets will be sold at the Sun City Resort gate.

Northam – The Thabazimbi Local Municipality gathered and got rid of trash in the Northam taxi rank on 11 April. They urge the community to keep the taxi rank clean and not litter. If you want to dispose of rubbish in refuse bags, please put it neatly in Botha and Ruby streets as the municipal waste truck passes there daily.

Sometimes there is a big gap between intensions and reality… On a glass door at the Thabazimbi Traffic Office a big poster boasts the transformation to service delivery, but on 31 March 2021, reality differed.

To create firebreaks at the Eskom Depot, the Waterberg District Fire Department was summoned to assist on 13 April. Eskom wanted to make sure that the main line poles do not sustain fire damages. They successfully managed and extinguished the controlled burning.
