Theo en Bessie Craggs groet Swartklip
Northam/ Swartklip – Theo en Bessie Craggs het in April 1988 Swartklip toe verhuis nadat hulle aandele in Swartklip Melkery gekoop het. Hulle was in hul middel dertigs. Hul oudste seun Stephan was drie jaar oud en die tweede seun Jan Adrian was een jaar oud. Theodor, hul jongste is in 1989 gebore te Swartklip.

Elandsfontein farm's lions safely recaptured
Lichtenburg – The Department of Economic Development, Environment, Conservation and Tourism (DEDECT) confirmed that all 14 lions that escaped from a privately owned Elandfontein farm, 5km outside Lichtenburg along the R505 towards Ottoshoop on 31 July, were successfully recaptured.
