In an interview with Platinum Bushvelder, Gouveia spoke about his journey leading up to becoming a councillor at TLM. “It was a long, gruelling road. It all started when I moved to Northam on 26 June 2016. I soon became part of the ‘Northam Problem’ group on WhatsApp. With a child on the way, I knew I had to make a difference, not only for my child’s future, but for the whole community’s future.
SA – Eskom notes and respects the order made today by the North Gauteng High Court. This order will result in an average price increase of approximately 15% in the electricity tariff for standard tariff customers starting on 1 April 2021.
Northam – Siyanda Bakgatla Platinum Mine assisted Thabazimbi Local Municipality with machinery to begin clearing the Northam landfill site. The access and inside layers of the waste disposal facility was started on Friday 22 January.
